What is a Cable Cast On?
A Cable Cast On is a very tidy cast on that gives a neat, 'cable line' edge and is nice and firm.
It is ideal for situations where you need to add stitches to work in progress such as at the front edge of a neckline or at an underarm.
How to Work a Cable Cast On?
- Create slip knot and place on needle.
- Knit into slip knot and place resultant stitch onto left needle.
- Put right needle between first two stitches on left needle, wrap yarn around needle and pull through.
- Place resultant stitch on left needle.
Repeat stitches 3 and 4 until you have the number of stitches that you need.
