Carol's Knitting Philosophy

Knitting a sweater may seem like a daunting task, but I believe that with enough patience, anyone can do it. It's all about the joy of the process and exploring new skills, and there’s no better feeling than creating a knit of your own to wear.
I love designing sweaters, and I love helping people to make something they’re proud of. Most of my designs are seamless knits, which means you can try it on as you work to check the fit. And, when you see how fantastic it looks, you’ll be racing to finish!
But don’t just take my word for it, see what our happy knitters have to say below.

I am new to shawl knitting.

I am new to shawl knitting. When I saw the chevron pattern (on Russler Shawl), I thought this could be my next challenge. The combination of the pattern and the garter stitch was fun. It was a very enjoyable project, the pattern was easy to remember and the wool was a joy to work with. It is very warm and easy to wear, and feels cosy and soft to the touch.

I am a huge fan of your work

I am a huge fan of your work. I really love the new Teachable format. As always, your patterns are impeccably written and gorgeous. The classes are informative and easily understood. I was part of the 2020 Knit Club and it was as expected, AMAZING! I look forward to the 2021 Knit Club and more of your classes. You have helped me become a much better knitter!

My shortlist of favourites

[Nua Sport] has been on my wish list for a while. Now that I've tried it, it will be on my shortlist of favourites. It has everything I love in a yarn: springiness, stitch definition, softness, drape. And the colourways are beautiful and complex, not the standard crayon hues.
