Knit Basics Workshop
Knit Basics is a comprehensive workshop series that will kick start your hand-knitting journey. You will learn all the basic skills you need to get started and succeed.
This workshop includes three sections:
1. Knitting Basics
This section focuses on teaching you all about yarn, needle types, gauge and the anatomy of a stitch ahead of your first knitting project.
2. Pouch Project
This project is focused on learning to knit a simple pouch in garter stitch. It is a short pattern, and the aim is to teach you the basic knitting terms before working on a longer patterns.
In this project you will learn:
- How to cast on and bind off.
- How to knit.
- How to read a pattern.
3. Hat Project
In this final section, you will be introduced to the Iceling Hat, where you will learn some new skills:
- How to work in the round using Magic Loop.
- How to work the purl stitch.
- How to decrease in pattern.
- How to finish your project.
All of our video classes are hosted on the Teachable website. Once you enroll you will have on demand access 24 hours a day for as long as you need it. There is also a discussion forum where you can chat with other knitters about the project.
The email address you use to purchase the workshop will be used to auto-enroll you in the Teachable video class. You will get an email automatically with login details if you have not access a workshop before.
As the classes are hosted on a different website you will have to create a new login (separate from the Stolen Stitches website) To access the course you will login in here and go to the 'My Classes' banner at the top of the page to find all your classes.
