Learn to Knit: Avoiding Jog when working Stripes in the Round

When you work stripes of colour in the round you will get a 'jog' between the end of one round and the start of the next round. This is because when you knit in the round it is a spiral and the start of round is where you spiral to the next level.

This is a easy way to avoid the jog:

  1. Knit the first round with your new colour.
  2. At the start of the next round pick up the stitch from the row below the left needle and place it on the needle tip.
  3. Knit this lifted stitch with the stitch on the needle.
