Bealtaine Shawl Pattern

A relaxing, fun knit, this shawl is knit from side to side in a series of biased wedges. Every row increases along the long top edge and every few rows you have a bind off along the bottom edge to create a jagged edging. This combination of increases and decreases creates a biased vortex shaped shawl that curves along the top edge.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US size 7 / 4.5 mm circular needles, 32” / 80 cm long or longer
Always use a needle size that gives you the gauge listed, as every knitter’s gauge is unique.
Tapestry needle, Locking/removable marker (optional).

16 sts and 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Garter Stitch blocked
16 sts and 22 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Lace Pattern blocked
